Pierre-Paul FOURNIER, playwright. Autograph manuscript signe - Lot 79

Pierre-Paul FOURNIER, playwright. Autograph manuscript signed, Miscellanées, suivies des "Petits Dialogues usuels et vécus", [circa 1920]; one volume in-4 (21.5 x 17.5 cm) of 91 leaves, bound in brown basane spine with gilt fillets. Amusing manuscript illustrated with 141 watercolor drawings. Aphorisms divided into 3 chapters: I autour du cœur, II autour de l'âme, III autour du... reste; followed by "Dialogues intimes"; all illustrated, as the title page indicates, "with a few portraits, which, if the text bores you, will help you pass the time". The text is written on the recto side of the pages, with one or two drawings pasted on the versos; the pen-and-ink drawings are enhanced with watercolor, and humorously captioned, on women and fashion: "costume 'pour être aimée' très demandée (création Francis)", "Toilette pour exposition tableaux modernes (Modes Barbazanges)", "Le 'la Garde meurt' indispensable pour dire certain mot. Very sentimental (created by Nini Cambronne)"... Etc.
