Martin heidegger (1889-1976). Autograph annotations on Walte - Lot 91
Martin heidegger (1889-1976). Autograph annotations on Walter Schulz, Über den philosophiegeschichtlichen Ort Martin Heideggers [offprint from Philosophische Rundschau, vol.1, n°2/3, 1953/1954]; in-8, 39 p., paperback, original printed cover (small corner missing from cover); in German. His personal copy, profusely annotated, of the first part of the important study devoted to him by Walter Schulz (1912-2000), in the journal Philosophische Rundschau (recently founded by Hans-Georg Gadamer and Helmut Kuhn): Über den philosophiegeschichtlichen Ort Martin Heideggers. Article on Heidegger's position on the history of philosophy, annotated by Heidegger on every page (except one), over the course of several careful readings, as shown by the successive (or simultaneous) use of pencil, colored pencils or black ink: underlining, lines or crosses in the margin, question marks (sometimes reinforced by a "wofür?Why?"), exclamation marks, sometimes brief notes of approval ("gut", p. 86); other notes are often longer, expanding in the margins to complete the bibliography, correct an assertion, point out contradictions, annotate the text, or develop his own thoughts at greater length... A remarkable testimony to Heidegger's method of reading and working.
