Youthful poem, song of four 7-verse stanzas with refrain: "C'était au temps où mam'selle Thérèse was fifteen and I was thirteen. Around Christmas time, Grandpa would tell By the hearth, and all through the eve Grandmothers would draw their wreaths listening to the log sing. - I sat quietly in my chair, My poor heart beating wildly - Right next to mam'selle Thérèse"...
