Nicolas-Charles-Joseph TRUBLET (St Malo 1697-1770) abbé et l - Lot 146
Nicolas-Charles-Joseph TRUBLET (St Malo 1697-1770) abbé et littérateur (de l'Académie Française). Manuscript with autograph corrections and additions; 7 1/2 pages in-fol. Discours de réception à l'Académie Française, which was not delivered. This speech was written in 1754, when Trublet was a candidate for the chair of Destouches, whom he praises. But it was Louis de Boissy who was elected; a perpetual candidate, Trublet did not enter the Académie until 1761, in the chair of the Maréchal de Belle-Isle. Article by Jean Hanoteau.
