Félix Buhot (1847-1898) Winter in Paris, or Snow in Paris. 1879. Etching, drypoint, aquatint and soft varnish. 345x237mm. Bourcard-Goodfriend 128. Very fine proof on cream laid paper, from the 3rd state (of 5 according to Bourcard, of 9 according to Goodfriend), with the mention "L'Art", the artist's monogram and number 25, the address "Imp. A. Salmon, au Boulevard des Italiens" backwards, and the title in small capitals "L'Hiver de 1879 à Paris". Light trace of oxidation at the opening of an old mount. Remnants of gummed kraft on verso and corresponding stains on recto. Full margins. Ex-coll. H. F. H. W. Hoitsema (Lugt 2625).
