John SINCLAIR (1754–1835). LA.S., Edinburgh, March 19, 1826, to Mr. Trevelyan; 1 page, in-8 (traces of glue on the corners); in English. He is sending him his little volume and considers Sunday to be the appropriate day to send it, as the evening of that day is the best time to read it: “that a Sunday was the appropriate day for sending it, as the evening of that day was the fittest time for its perusal.” Enclosed is an autograph letter (signed at the top), Whitehall, June 18, 1794, to Mr. Spottiswood; half a page, quarto, addressed. He wishes to consult “Mackenzie on Scotch Elections,” which will be returned to him immediately.
