A very rare new edition, printed in a run of only 50 copies on Rives vellum paper, revised and corrected by the author. This edition is particularly sought after due to the illustrations by Paul JOUVE (1878–1973), comprising 44 compositions engraved on wood and stone by the artist in collaboration with Gaston Prost, including one on the cover, 5 initial letters, and 37 full-page illustrations. Each copy bears the handwritten signatures of the author and the artist in the colophon, and that of the publisher on the half-title page. This copy is numbered 5. The copy is in very good condition. There are simply some fingerprints in the margin of page 102.
