London: Chapman and Hall,[circa 1860]. - In-8, red morocco, gold lace framed on the plates, decorated back with nerves, inner gold castor, gold edges (period binding). Edition in xiv pages, 1 errata sheet and 624 pages, illustrated with 40 non-text illustrations by Hablot Knight Browne, including the frontispiece and title. Wearing friction, back passed. Very clear wetness on the first leaves, scattered freckles. Attached: - GOLDSMITH. The Vicar of Wakefield. Chiswik: from the press of C. Whittingham, 1822. - In-16, Havana calf, triple gilt net and cold castor in frame and cold iron in the centre on the plates, back with false ribs decorated, marbled edges ( period binding ). Nice illustrated edition with many woodcut vignettes in the text. Back passed, friction of use. - SMILE (Samuel). Thrift. Thirsty-first thousand. - Character. New edition. London: John Murray, 1880-1881. 2 works in 2 volumes in-12, cherry calf, double gilded net on the edges of the dishes, decorated back with ribs, inner cold roller, marbled edges ( period binding ). Slightly passed back, cracks in hinges, friction and some scratches. Minimal freckles.
