Sculpture in high relief showing a three-quarter Silenus head Her hair, with a curly and meticulous style, is encircled by a crown of ivy. Thick strands fall on his shoulder which is covered with the panther-headed nebride. Marble fixed on a wooden medallion imitating marble. Broken and glued in two places. Small lack. Rome, 1st century Marble height: 30 cm; medallion height: 57 cm Provenance : Acquired in 1978 from Maurice Ségoura, antique dealer. A certificate signed by the seller will be given to the buyer as well as a Polaroid whose film dates from 1980.
