Console table in wrought and polished iron, gilded sheet metal and turquoise-blue marble, with openwork decoration of palmettes, scrolls and foliage, the cambered uprights with pearls, spheres, baluster and scroll joined by a strut surmounted by a palmette with openwork ovals.
Louis XV period.

Generally produced in Provence in the mid-18th century, a famous example of this type of console table made entirely of metal is now in the Frick Collection in New York.
